Dumbbell Hooks Boulder City NV

Think of dumbbell hooks as your training partner your mammoth training partner one that would be able to hand you a 100-pound dumbbell with ease when you're flat down on a bench and ready to press. Many people who resistance train often complain that they could perform more reps if only they didn't have to keep making trips back and forth to the rack to get heavy weights, or worse, having to heave them up off the floor before each set.

Dumbbell Hooks

If you're a power lifter who's never heard of dumbbell hooks, then in my opinion you're likely spending just as much energy balancing barbells as you are performing lifts.

Dumbbell hooks allow you to hang your dumbbells on an overhead bar, putting you in a safe and proper lifting position from go. Each hook has a heavy duty strap made with leather and Velcro that wraps around your dumbbell handle and secures it so it won't come loose anytime during your lift. These hooks fit any dumbbell handle and I've been told they can handle upwards of 1,000-pounds.

See, the problem with lifting weights from chest or floor level is that preloading your weight will often exhaust your muscles. Take, for example, bench presses. To perform these you would position the barbell over you chest. This positioning is referred to as your preloading technique. Having to hoist the dumbbell from the rack to your bench then up from the floor while balancing it at chest level can exhaust your muscles before you even start your set. Now think of how much effort a dumbbell hook would take out of preloading that same weight to chest level. By removing the dumbbell right off the dumbbell hook you get an effortless preload and as a result can handle that much more weight, resulting in maximum results from your press.

Preloading with dumbbell hooks also cuts out the balancing act required to position a dumbbell, lessening your overall chance of injury. I'll cut it down to the basics for you. Preloading your weight from a rack is a lot e...
