If you know that you tend to make excuses to get out of working out, then purchasing a heavy-duty gym bag with mesh pockets might stop you from fleeing the gym if your wet towel makes your socks damp and we all know you can't work out in damp socks (sure, sure). Likewise, time keepers and measuring devices such as stopwatches , pedometers and heart rate monitors might be needed at first until you become familiar with your maximum heart rate and your personal best.
