Water Bottles

Many will argue that beer or wine is the nectar of the gods. however, if you're a weightlifter or an aerobics buff, there's no question in your mind that water is the end all and be all when it comes to blessed hydration.

Every day you shed an amount of water equal to 10 or 12 cups and your body darn well expects that you replace it! Think of drinking water as a give and take relationship with your body. For example, if I drink plenty of water my body will reward me by allotting excess energy and oxygen. It will also keep my body temperature at a comfortable level and protect my joints and muscles against injury. As a benefit it will keep my complexion vibrant and flawless. On the other hand if I should happen to get greedy and ignore this give and take relationship my body will punish me by making me feel dehydrated and dizzy, giving me a killer headache and making me feel like total garbage. Sounds a lot like marriage, doesn't it?

Well, just like a marriage needs tools to help it survive; a person doing exercise requires a convenient way to transport water during exercise to keep their body happy. Water bottles keep water conveniently on hand and encourage you to drink enough when working out. Large water bottles with nozzles will hold enough water so you aren't refilling constantly.

Athletes often choose these popular water bottle styles:

Refillable Water Bottles Water bottles with nozzles grant flow when you wish to drink, but prevent drips or spills you're when you're moving or inclined on a machine. Many make the mistake of reusing plastic bottles, but plastic can leach chemicals and bacteria into the water when it's reused. Toss single-use bottles after the first use. Reusable Tupperware water bottles can be washed out following each use with sudsy water to prevent bacteria. If carrying a water bottle puts too much strain on your wrist and elbow, wear a hip pack with a bottle holder.
